In the story we look at how quickly accidents can happen. We also look at the safe use of everyday products and the consequences of when this does not happen.

This story covers the following themes:

This story will cover the following topics:
  • Awareness that some household products, if not used for the job they are meant for, can be very dangerous.
  • Awareness that aerosols, if misused, can lead to death.Understand the importance of following rules
  • Awareness that household products can be dangerous if not used as directed.
  • Ability to assess risk and act upon it.
This story will cover the following topics:
  • Understanding that accidents can happen very quickly - so children need to be supervised at all times.
  • Promoting that children should always tell an adult, they know they can trust, if they are worried or scared.
The outcomes of this story are:
  • I can understand why I should never use household products for anything other than the job they are meant for.
  • I know that using aerosols dangerously, or incorrectly, is risky. 
  • I know that if I saw someone using household products or aerosols dangerously, I should tell an adult I can trust straight away.
  • I know that if something bad has happened I should tell an adult I can trust straight away.
